F.A.Q.

Below are responses to some of the questions I get asked the most.  If the answer you are looking for is not included below, hop on over to the Contact page and shoot me message

1. How long have you been drawing?

Well, technically, I’ve drawing since I could hold a drawing implement lol  Around the age of 12 I decided I wanted to pursue art as a career and began creating art digitally as well as traditionally.

2. Did you attend college or art school?

I did.  I decided when I was about 14 I wanted to attend Columbus College of Art and Design and focused all my efforts toward that goal from that point on. I was fortunate enough to get accepted and spent four years  (their curriculum is four years) studying art techniques, art fundamentals, animation, and graphic design before receiving a BFA in Media Studies.

3. Can I get prints or merchandise of your work?

You sure can!

You can purchase prints, sketchbooks, stickers, and more at Kitty's Prints & More on StorEnvy

You can purchase various merchandise (shirts, mugs, cups, bags, and more) at Kitty's Tavern on Society 6

4. What about original artwork?

Not yet! But soon!!

5.  Do you take commissions?

Not currently, but I sometimes do on an extremely limited basis.  When I do I’ll post an update on the homepage and on my various social media pages.

6. What about artwork requests?

Sorry.  I do not.  You can always send me ideas for things you’d like to see me draw/paint/etc but please realize that I might make them and I might not.  As long as you’re okay with that, go ahead and send me any ideas you have.

7. Can I make a costume/cosplay based on one of your designs?

Absolutely! I would be totally flattered if liked any of my original or fandom inspired designs enough to use it that way.  Please remember to let people know that it where you got the inspiration and I would love to see how it turns out.

8. Could you do a review/tutorial of this product/technique?

Honestly, it depends.  For tutorials, I am willing to share how I make pretty much anything so please feel free to contact me to ask.

For reviews, if it’s something I own, I can definitely do one, just let me know.  If it’s not something  I already  have, please let me know that you are interested in my thoughts on it and I’ll see what I can do.  Either way, please shoot me a message

9. Any advice for beginning artists?

The same advice I have for any and all creatives.  A.B.C. Always Be Creating.  Seriously, whatever your medium for expression try to always make time for it.  Even if you have to take a break actively creating for awhile.  For example, I took an almost two year hiatus from creating visual arts because of life events, but I was still coming up with and writing down ideas for when I could get to them.

Also, realize that not every piece you create will live up to expectations.  That’s just part of the process of learning and growing.  Speaking of growing, don’t feel forced into one medium.  Art is about experimenting and adaptation.  Try out as many different mediums as you want until you find what makes you happy at that time.  I added “at that time” because that “what makes you  happy” is a fluid concept

And lastly, do not compare your works or your progress to others.  You are not in a race.  It’s not a competition.  Set goals based on your skills and progress.  Otherwise, you’ll always end up disappointed.

Ok, I think that’s enough.  Moving on…

10. What media do you use to create your art?

All kinds! Seriously, I am an extremely varied artist and bounce around a lot lol I currently tend to classify myself as a “mixed media” artist.

11. What do you use to create your art?

Whoa, boy! I get this one a lot and I use a lot of different tools and supplies.  Therefore, this question has a very long answer.

FYI, if you’re not interested this is the last question so there’s no reason to keep scrolling
